We want every FundiAI experience to be worth your money. This policy explains clearly what is refundable, what is not, and how to get in touch if something has gone wrong. It applies to all FundiAI products and services, including Poppie (Social Media Management), Chad (Website and eCommerce), and FundiBill (Invoicing App). 

Nothing in this policy overrides your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002 (ECTA). Where the law gives you stronger rights than this policy, the law applies.

1. Monthly Subscription Services 

Applies to: Poppie Social Media Assistant, Poppie Social Media Manager, Poppie Social Media & Ads Manager, Chad Website Assistant, Chad Website Manager, FundiBill Monthly. 

Monthly fees are charged at the start of each billing cycle and cover that full month of service. Because the cycle has already been paid for and service delivery has commenced, monthly fees are non-refundable once a cycle has started. 

What you can do: 

  • Cancel at any time before your next billing date and you will not be charged again. You retain access until the end of the period already paid for. 
  • Contact us at info@fundiai.co.za before your next renewal date to cancel. 

2. Once-Off Setup Fees 

2.1 Poppie — R250 Onboarding and Integration Fee 

The R250 once-off setup fee covers the time and work involved in onboarding your brand, setting up your Fundi File, reviewing your social media profiles, and linking your accounts. This work begins as soon as you complete payment, so this fee is non-refundable once onboarding has commenced, regardless of whether you continue with a monthly subscription. 

2.2 Chad — Website Build Fee 

The Chad website build is a once-off project quoted per scope. Because time and resources are invested from the moment the project starts: 

  • If you cancel before any work has begun, any upfront deposit paid may be refunded, minus non-refundable third-party costs already incurred on your behalf (e.g., paid plugins or stock assets purchased with your written approval). 
  • If you cancel after work has commenced, FundiAI will invoice for work completed to date at a fair rate, and any remaining balance from a deposit may be refunded at FundiAI’s discretion. 
  • If FundiAI cannot complete the project as agreed due to our own failure, a fair refund of fees paid will be arranged (see section 6). 

The specific payment schedule and cancellation terms for your website build are set out in your signed Chad Service Agreement. 

3. FundiBill Monthly Subscription — 7-Day Window 

We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first ever FundiBill monthly subscription, provided: 

  • It is your first subscription (not a resubscription after a previous cancellation); and 
  • You have not used FundiBill to create, save, or send any invoice during that period. 

To claim, email info@fundiai.co.za within the 7-day window with the subject line “FundiBill — Refund Request” and your account email address. We will process the refund within 5 business days. 

This 7-day window satisfies the cooling-off right under section 44 of ECTA for monthly digital subscriptions. After the 7-day window has passed, or after you have used the app to create or send an invoice — whichever comes first — monthly fees are non-refundable. 

4. FundiBill Annual Subscription 

Annual subscription fees (R299/year) are billed upfront as a single payment covering 12 months of access. This fee is non-refundable once your account is activated, with the following exceptions: 

  • Unused within 7 days: If you have not used FundiBill at all (no invoices created or sent) and you cancel within 7 days of subscribing, you are entitled to a full refund. Email us within 7 days to claim this. 
  • Service failure: If FundiBill materially fails and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time (see section 6). 
  • Discontinuation: If FundiAI discontinues FundiBill, a pro-rata refund will be issued for any unused months remaining in your annual period. 
  • Material feature removal: If FundiAI removes a feature that materially changes the service and you cancel within the notice period we provide, a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your annual subscription may apply. 

Tip: You have 7 days from signup to try FundiBill and get a full refund if it is not right for you — as long as you have not used it yet. If you are unsure, start with the monthly plan (R29) and switch to annual once you are happy. 

5. What We Never Refund 

  • Ad spend (Poppie Ads Manager): Your advertising budget is charged directly to you by Meta (Facebook/Instagram). FundiAI does not receive your ad spend and cannot refund it. Any concerns about Meta charges must be directed to Meta directly. 
  • Third-party costs: Where FundiAI purchases paid plugins, themes, stock images, or other third-party items on your behalf with your written approval, those costs are non-refundable regardless of project outcome. 
  • Work already performed: Time spent on strategy, content creation, drafts, revisions, or any other delivered work is not refundable, even if you choose not to use or publish what was produced. 
  • Charges older than 90 days: Refund requests relating to charges older than 90 days will only be considered in exceptional circumstances. 

6. When FundiAI Gets It Wrong 

If FundiAI materially fails to deliver a service as described in your Service Level Agreement or these policies — and we are unable to fix the issue within a reasonable time after you have notified us — you are entitled to a refund of fees paid for the undelivered portion of that service. 

This includes: 

  • We stop delivering the service entirely with no warning or explanation. 
  • FundiBill’s core invoicing function is broken and we cannot restore it within a reasonable timeframe. 
  • We deliver something fundamentally different from what was agreed in writing. 

This does not include: 

  • You are not happy with the creative direction or style of content — this is addressed through our revision process. 
  • Your social media results, website traffic, or ad performance did not meet your expectations — we never guarantee specific outcomes. 
  • A third-party provider (Meta, WordPress, PayFast, a hosting provider) had an outage or policy change beyond our control. 

In all cases, please contact us first. Most issues can be resolved quickly without a refund coming into it. 

7. Your Consumer Rights 

This policy does not limit any rights you have under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002. Where the law provides stronger rights than this policy, those rights apply.

8. How to Request a Refund 

To request a refund, email info@fundiai.co.za with the subject line: 

“Refund Request — [Your Name / Business Name]” 

Please include: 

  • Your full name and business name. 
  • The service or product the refund relates to. 
  • The date of the charge and the amount. 
  • The reason for the refund request. 

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 10 business days of receiving all the information we need. 

9. How Refunds Are Processed 

Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days of approval, via the original payment method where possible: 

  • EFT payments: Refunded by EFT to the bank account the payment was made from. Please include your banking details in your refund request. 
  • PayFast (card / instant EFT): Refunded via PayFast to the original payment method. PayFast processing times may add 3 to 5 business days. 

10. Changes to This Policy 

FundiAI may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on our website with the effective date. For active subscribers, material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
